The Dark Lord rarely appears in person. His presence is felt through his servants, his weapons, offers of power, and the fear he instills in other infernal lords.
Origin and Manifestations
He is capable of opening a bonus path, granting a weapon against spirits, or welcoming a traveler into his own world. His servants speak of their master with almost religious devotion, but even they do not always understand exactly whom he is seeking in human nightmares.
Erotic Nature
His erotic power is imperial: desire becomes a privilege that the lord grants permission to experience. A partner becomes a subject, and intimacy becomes a form of accepting a title and a new place in the hierarchy.
Countermeasures and Cost
One cannot accept the gift without first determining what constitutes service. The Dark Lord’s portals react to morality and may lead somewhere other than where the guide promised. Refusing the gift is safer than attempting to use it without consequences.
