Origin and Manifestations
As long as the casket remains intact, the creature returns to its location and acknowledges the holder’s will. The heart reacts to the hunt and may beat so strongly that it reveals the monster’s approach.
Erotic Nature
The artifact creates an intimate bond of control: the owner literally holds another’s rhythm in their hands. The more often the Whirlwind is soothed through a physical pact, the more strongly the heart responds to its mistress’s scent and presence.
Countermeasures and Cost
Do not open the box during a rage. Losing the heart frees the Whirlwind; destroying it may kill it or unleash a storm without a center.
