| MAIN THEME | Sarcophagus, scales of the heart, false exit |
Anubis appears wherever explorers open a sarcophagus in hopes of finding a treasure trove.
Origin and Manifestations
He does not pursue them immediately. At first, he offers to complete the ritual, find the combination, and prove their right to disturb the dead. A mistake turns the archaeologist into part of the procession.
Erotic Nature
His eroticism is ceremonial: the body is purified, bared before the court, and stripped of the right to hide its desires. The heart is weighed not by one’s deeds, but by how many lies a person has left within themselves.
Countermeasures and Cost
Do not open the sarcophagus without a way back. Swap out the ritual key or seal off the scene before the weighing. Lying to Anubis is more dangerous than an admitted vice.
